Kassandra reached out to me for the launch of her online tutoring centre to create her logo and to have it as an animated gif. It was such a pleasure working with Kassandra and going through the design process for a logo that needed to feel friendly, clean but playful - for kids! She had two specific assets needed; a moon and a rocket, those two were enough to quickly launch the next steps to make this logo come to life.
Conceptualizing the overall look and feel.
First Pass. Sketching and the Final Design
All sketches were done on my iPad using procreate. After a few rounds of feedback I brought the final design to Illustrator to create a vectorized logo.
Animation Process
After completing the final design, I imported the Illustrator file to After Effects to animate the logo. I wanted the animation to feel playful, so I went for a simple bounce approach for the main text but keeping the bottom text, ‘tutoring Center” more grounded to establish the clean professional style Kassandra wanted as well.
